Cold Sore Banish Balm is an herbal remedy used to prevent, treat, and/or speed up the healing process of HSV-1. This balm is most successfully used at the prodromal stage of cold sores (tingling, burning, or numbness of lips are common prodromal symptoms). It can be used at any stage to shorten the length of the cold sore and minimize the extremity of symptoms, but the earlier it is applied the better the chance of success. It can be used preventatively daily or during times of stress, excess sun exposure, or other triggers for a cold sore to emerge. It can be used in conjunction with other treatments or used alone. Use a Q-tip or sterile finger to remove a pea sized amount of balm. Apply 3-4 times a day and wash hands after application.
